Intentions

Restore a Casa del Patio as a creative studio and guest space for visiting family.

Preferred home: Casa del Patio V

Intentions

Semi-retirement base with space for grandchildren visits and a small kitchen garden.

Why this project

My husband and I love Andalusia. Buying alone felt overwhelming, joining a group with clear structure makes collective ownership feel achievable.

Preferred home: Casa del Patio I

Intentions

Remote-work home with fast internet, pool access, and weekend hiking nearby.

Why this project

I work remotely and want roots in Europe without buying an entire estate. ShareVillage's milestone model gives me confidence the process is serious.

Preferred home: Cortijo Principal

Intentions

Family home near Seville with room for horses and access to shared equestrian facilities.

Why this project

The gañanía and equestrian zone are rare. I'd rather co-own this finca with like-minded people than compromise on a smaller property alone.

Preferred home: Casa del Patio VII

Intentions

Weekend retreat and eventual full-time move, interested in co-managing shared gardens.

Why this project

We met others here who share our values around sustainable living. Building a village, not just buying a house, is what drew us in.

Should we buy a shared electric vehicle for village errands?

Raised by Sample neighbour (fiction)

Several neighbours have suggested a small EV at the cortijo for grocery runs, school pickups, and hospital visits. Before anyone commits money, we want to understand whether the community supports exploring this together.

Useful for elders without cars, but we need a clear booking rota and a running-cost split before committing.

  • Tom Walsh (fiction)

Alternative: start with a shared e-bike and trailer for Gerena runs before buying a car.

Advisory

Should we convert the old storage room into a shared workshop?

Raised by James Whitmore · 10 May 2025

The cortijo has a large unused storage room near the shared patio. Several of us have mentioned woodworking, pottery, and repair projects. Before anyone invests personal time or money, I'd like to understand how the community feels about making it a shared workshop space.

  • Elena Ruiz

I love the idea but we should agree noise limits and ventilation before anyone buys heavy equipment.

  • Sofia Andersson

Alternative: start with a shared tool library in the existing patio store instead of a full conversion.
